Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

I got started competing after going to ski camp and falling in love with park skiing. They have a slopstyle on the last day of camp...and I came in 3rd, but I wanted first!

List your competitive highlights:

This year in Women's Open Class Skier (in USASA) I was ranked #1 in New Hampshire and #3 in the country. And I won two new pairs of skis at different events!

What are you planning for next season?

Ski as much as a can. Go to Nationals. I want to film more, I only got two days this season and no good footage. Improve as much as I can...but most importantly, HAVE AS MUCH FUN AS I CAN!!!!

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

This season my biggest accomplishment this season was skiing 100+ days!!!!

Q&A - Personal

What inspires you to compete?

My love for the sport inspires me to compete! There are not a lot of girls who ski park on the east coast, even during competitions. I want this sport to survive and succeed, and by participating actively resorts know there is an interest and they will keep catering to the needs of park skiers.

Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?

I love to travel! I dont have any god stories other then airlines loosing my luggage. But going to the top of the Eiffel Tower was one of the coolest experiences of my life!

How's Life Treating You?

Life is pretty awesome. I enjoy it! I try to get as much out of each day as I can! Life is too short for regret!! Live it up!!!

Why do you like this sport?

I like park skiing because while skiing is an individual sport, there is a lot of support from the ski community. Everyone cheers everyone else on, even if you are competing against them. You are happy when your friend wins, even if that means they beat you! Everyone is supportive and encourages you to improve and have fun!

Employment / Experience Summary

This past season I coached Progression Ski Camps at Loon Mtn. and the freeride team at Proctor Academy. But in the off season I am a daycare teacher!
