How I got started:
I first became interested in quad motocross when I was 6, but wasn't allowed to race. My brother had then started racing when I was 14, so I went to as many of his races as possible to watch him ride. This made me want to race even more, so when I got married at the age of 20, I went out and bought my Yamaha YFZ 450. This is my first year racing, and I love it. I had started out the season just thinking I'd race 1 or 2 races due to me being in school to get my Paramedic. Well the medic didn't turn out so well so I'm racing in as many races as possible.
UPDATE: This year was very eventful for me. I got divorced at the start of the season and took on a coach who is currently my boyfriend. He got me cornering correctly and jumping smoothly and got me to where i am now. I finished out my first full season racing D-23 and finished 3rd overall, next year im going after the championship for womens and since this year i didnt get a chance to race in a c class i am hoping to next year. Ive got several goals in place for next race season and am already getting the itch to be on the track again.
Goals for the future:
My biggest goal right now is to be competitive with the other riders, to ride fast and hard and jump big. I'm hoping to be able to ride in most if not all of the District 23 races in 2009 in both the womens class and the 450 production C class. I am also hoping to race in most if not all of the KC race productions faircross series as well.
Goals for 2010
To get the D-23 championship in womens and racing either c or b class. I will also be going to a few nationals next year and back to race at Cooperland for spring training
