Overview

How I got started

I've wanted a dirt bike since I was ten. My mom thought I was crazy; little girls aren't supposed to want a dirt bike! When I was 17, I finally got my first bike, a 1994 KX 125. I loved it. After riding for a year, I decided I wanted to start racing. I purchased a 2003 YZ 250F and raced my first desert race in December of 2002. I`ve been hooked ever since. The challenge of racing over 100 miles is amazing. I`ve started racing motocross to improve my riding. I love racing dirt bikes!

Bio

Why do you like this sport?

I love riding and racing dirt bikes because it is challenging. There are always skills to learn, goals to achieve, and memories to be made. It is demanding both physically and mentally but the rewards are definately worth it. I wish that everyone could experience all that riding a dirt bike has to offer.

Some Personal Information About Me:

I am currently attending college full time in order to get a degree in business. I'm also working full time for a private investment company. When I`m not riding or training or working or going to school, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my pit bull, and four wheeling in my Jeep. Also, I volunteer at the SPCA when I have time.

Describe your style...

Style....the elusive "thing" that can make one person stand out when compared to another of equal ability. When it comes to style I have a lot of different influences that come into play: my background of ski racing, ballet, attention to technical detail, and the fact that I started racing off-road before motocross. The ballet brings some grace into my riding, the skiing brings fluidity, and I appear to look like I know what I`m doing from emulating faster riders` technique and body positioning. And when all hell breaks loose and it looks like I`m going to yardsale, but I don`t, I definately attribute that to my back ground in desert racing. Not knowing what the upcoming terrain is going to throw at you really teaches you some great recovery skills. If you watch me at the track you can definately see all of these characteristics in my riding style!
